Q: Why are Trackside competitions open only to Lloyds TSB customers?

At Lloyds TSB, we’re always looking for ways to say ‘thank you’ to our customers, and Trackside is one way in which we are saying a really BIG thank you to all our personal banking customers. 

Q: I have a Lloyds TSB Business Account am I eligible to join Trackside?

You will be able to register for Trackside and will receive information about our London 2012 partnership and community activities, however, only personal banking and general insurance customers of Lloyds TSB are eligible to enter Trackside competitions and offers.  Lloyds TSB Commercial and Lloyds Bank Wholesale Banking and Markets customers can find out more about how they can get involved in our 2012 Partnership at http://www.lloydstsbbusiness.com/london2012/index.html or http://www.lloydsbankwholesale.com/London-2012/.

Q: I don’t have an e-mail address. Can I still benefit from Trackside?

Customers of Lloyds TSB personal banking or general insurance will still be able to access much of the Trackside content at www.lloydstsb.com/london2012/

Q: I’m not a customer, can I still benefit from Trackside?

You will be able to register for Trackside and will receive information from Lloyds TSB on our London 2012 partnership and activities.

Q: What if I become a customer having already signed up for Trackside?

Your details will be updated at the next available opportunity and you will have full access to the information and benefits of Trackside.

Q: Why are you asking me to give you my post code and date of birth? Will this compromise my account security?

We need your post code, in combination with your name and date of birth to verify that you are a customer of Lloyds TSB personal banking or general insurance. Your account security will not be affected. Lloyds TSB and Trackside will never ask you to enter your Internet Banking details either through an email or text. Lloyds TSB do not ask you to enter any of your security details into a pop-up screen and we will never e-mail you asking for any personal information, PIN numbers or passwords. Q: If I don't register for Trackside, can I still win Games tickets through Lloyds TSB?

If you’re a personal banking or general insurance customer of Lloyds TSB, you will hear about opportunities to win Tickets to the Games and chances to meet Olympians and Paralympians. By entering any of these competitions, you will automatically be signed up for Trackside.

Q: My partner and I are both customers. Can we both join Trackside and enter competitions?

Our vision, as a Proud Partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is to bring the Games closer to young people, communities and businesses across the UK.

Community is at the heart of our London 2012 activity:

• Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week is a fun week of sport and celebration, offering young people the chance to try new sports and live the values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

• The Lloyds TSB Local Heroes programme helps some of the most talented emerging athletes in the UK during one of the toughest stages of their sporting careers.

• We are the National Presenting Partner for the Olympic Torch Relay, enabling us to share the inspiration of the Olympic Flame with local communities as it travels through towns and cities and past major landmarks on its route to the Opening Ceremony.

• We’re also the presenting partner for the ticketing journey to London 2012 and we are supporting the London 2012 organisers (LOCOG) to ensure that as many people as possible have the information they require in order to find and buy tickets to the Games.

  • MUNICH 1972: Mark Spitz won seven gold medals and broke seven world records.
  • PARIS 1900: The first woman to win an Olympic event was England's Charlotte Cooper, who won the tennis singles.
  • 8.8 million tickets will be available for the London 2012 Olympic Games, with another 2 million for the Paralympic Games.
  • ATHENS 2004: The marathon races followed the same route as the 1896 race, beginning in Marathon and ending in Athens' Panathenaic Stadium. Vanderlei de Lima (BRA) was in the lead with less than 7 kilometres to go when he was pushed off the course.
